I am actually on a Mac Book Pro - running OS X version 10.5.2 and using Cisco client 4.9.01.01 - so it should be working fine as far as I can tell from the actual software - so it has to be a latent setting somewhere either in the cisco programming settings on the Mac or on the network interfaces for the Apple.
